We have 1 laser printer, we print multiple copies of large documents. We are getting 2 additional laser printers, the secretaries dont know how to check the que to see where their job went? In windows 7 how would you utilize the additional printers?|||It is pretty easy to check the print queue in Windows 7:

• Click ‘Start’ and click ‘Devices and Printers’.
• Click on your printer’s icon and click ‘See what’s printing’.

To avoid unnecessary lag during printing, make sure the ‘Print Spooler’ service is set to automatic:

• Click ‘Start’, type ‘services.msc’ in the search field and press ‘Enter’.
• In the list of services, look for ‘Print Spooler’ and double click it.
• Change the “Startup type” for it to ‘Automatic’ unless it is set that way already.

Note: You can clear the print queue by ‘Stopping’ this service and deleting all the files in “C:\ Windows\ system32\ spool\ PRINTERS”.

You can add multiple printers the same way and right click the printer you want to set as the default printer in ‘Devices and Printers’ and click ‘Set as default printer’.

Here’s to Good Karma - iYogi Active Response Team|||Each department should have their own default printers.
You could turn down the saturation of the print to econo mode.

Guess you guys haven't heard of paperless work place!
