What is a famous or special quote to you in your native/favorite language (or another language you speak, whichever) and what is it's English translation?

English is my native language, so here's my favorite one in Spanish.

"Si la vida te da mil razones para llorar, demuestra que tienes mil y una para sonre铆r". It means "If live gives you a thousand reasons to cry, show that you have a thousand and one to smile".

Thanks.|||I don't know why, especially because it's not even a quote, But my favorite word is "Kamikaze" it's Japanese for "Divine wind".

I suppose i just like the way it sounds. lol.|||In french :

" Tu vois, le monde se divise en deux cat茅gories: ceux qui ont le pistolet charg茅, et ceux qui creusent. Toi tu creuses." Cf The Good the Bad and the Ugly in french.

Translation: " * You see in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig. "

************|||La mayor铆a de las cosas importantes en el mundo han sido realizados por personas que han mantenido en el intento, cuando no parec铆a haber esperanza en todos los
It means: Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all|||"Knulla mig!"

Swedish.

I think you understand why.|||Live life today because yesterday is gone and tomorrow many never come.|||I have two.. so hopefully no one minds. =) First in French, second in German

"... on ne voit bien qu'avec le c艙ur. L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux."

-- It is only the with the heart one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eyes.

"Du bist zeitlebens f眉r das verantwortlich, was du dir vertraut gemacht hast."

-- You become responsible, forever, for that which you have tamed.|||Det 盲r synd om m盲nniskorna
