In the taxi que. I have only ever arrived in the morning during banking hours and have no problem waiting in the que, but my daughter will be arriving sometime after 11pm and will have 2 little girls aged 3 and 5 with her. She wont want to wait in a que,.
I know the fair for the meter taxi's and about the surcharge and tollway charges but how much would would a private taxi cost ?|||I have rarely ever had a long wait for the meter taxi at the airport. Sometimes when too many planes land at one time there may be a few tourists in line ahead of you. But there are two locations for the meter taxi; if one has a longer line than you want check out the other sign up desk - most of the time there is no one in line there.

Public taxi desks near doors 3-4 and 7-8.

.|||Hi Gavin

I have always arrived early morning or afternoon But the ATMS are 24 hours and theres an exchange bureau as you walk towards Immigration ( last time I was there 2 years ago )
You can check youtube and people upload a how to get taxi
You can go to the Taxi Stand or another way is to go to the International Departures on Floor 2 and walk ootside there and get the regular taxis
As its night time its most likely quieter and if you get 1 there you dont pay the 50bht charge as you do at the taxi area
Make sure they put the meter on
If you want a private taxi and you are in BAngkok you could have a chat with a taxi driver to meet you and collect you But to be honest just walk out and you will get a taxi no problem|||Many flights arrive at night, including most flights from the USA. Not all but most exchange booths are open at night and all ATM are available. I have never had a problem getting a taxi and have arrived in Bangkok well into the AM. Even if it's a long line it most fast, in a few minutes she would be on her way. Cost for a private taxi would be at least double that of a meter taxi.
