I'm a little tired of dogs on the 'que, but my hubby is a fanatic.
Any good ideas to spruce them up and make them look and taste like "grown up" food?
Thanks!|||We made some like a philly steak sandwich, we put green peppers, onion, mushrooms, and mozarella cheese, yummy

I also put:
-bacon, cheddar cheese, chilli, hot peppers
-lettuce, tomato, bacon
-lettuce, tomato, cheese, salsa, sour cream|||Venezuela Hot Dog

catsup (ketchup)
mustard
mayonnaise
crushed regular potato chips
shredded chopped raw green cabbage
chopped raw onions
boiled hot dog
steamed hot dog bun (split opened)

Start with opened steamed hot dog bun. Add boiled hot dog. Add chopped onions. Add shredded chopped green cabbage. Add crushed regular potato chips. Add mayonnaise. Add mustard. Add catsup (ketchup). Eat and enjoy.

*This is eaten in Venezuela, South America.*

1. Venezuela Dogs (Hot Dogs)
2. Venezuelan Dogs (Hot Dogs)|||Salsa BBQ Hot Dogs
1 pkg. weiners or beef franks
1/2 cup salsa
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
10 hot dog buns
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Heat weithers as directed on package. Mix salsa and barbecue sauce.
Heat in small saucepan or microwave until heated through. Place
heated weiners in buns. Top with salsa mixture and onion, sprinkle
with cheese.





MEXICAN HOT DOGS

2 tbsp. salsa
2 tbsp. onion, chopped
4 slices of cheese
4 tortillas
4 hot dogs

Spread 1/2 tablespoon salsa on each tortilla. Top with 1/2 tablespoon onion. Wrap 1 cheese slice around each hot dog. Place on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated, 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Serves 4






REUBEN HOT DOG

Beef hot dog and bun
Sauerkraut
Caraway seed
Russian salad dressing
Sliced Swiss cheese

Cook hot dog and place in bun. Add sauerkraut, sprinkled with caraway seed. Then add a little Russian dressing. Top with a slice of Swiss cheese. Put under broiler just long enough for cheese to melt.






PIZZA HOT DOGS

4 hot dog buns
4 hot dogs
12 slices Mozzarella cheese
Pizza sauce
Parmesan cheese, grated

Split hot dog buns and hot dogs lengthwise. Place layer of cheese on buns. Add hot dog slices to each bun. Top with pizza sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Place on broiler pan. Broil until brown and bubbly.|||seasoned curly fries

diced tomatoes
pastrami
gruyere cheese
crispy fried onions
coleslaw

Mexico variation:
Wrap the dog in bacon before grilling, then once the dog is in the bun, it gets topped with pinto beans, onions (both grilled and raw), chopped tomatoes, jalape帽o sauce, mustard, and mayonnaise.|||For beef hotdogs, I still like Chicago style which is something close to below:

larger white hot dog bun with sesame seeds if possible
2 small wedges of fresh tomato
chopped onions
sweet relish
ketchup mustard and a little mayo
small refrigerated dill pickle slice
one 100% all beef hot dog, grilled to perfection

these are common all over Chicago and have been since the early 1900's. one of the best ways to eat hot dogs period|||-Add some jalapenos
-Chop some onions and tomatoes -- sprinkle some lemon juice and salt on them and add them to your hot dogs
-Add some melted cheese
-Honey mustard, mayo, ketchup or relish
-Wrap the sausage in bacon and grill it - yummy!|||instead of....

relish-wrap the hot dog in lettuceand gill with that on and eat with
grilled onion-roasted corn

put as much or little of these as you want!

hih|||We're having them tonight too:) (Hebrew National) .... I can't decide between sauerkraut on them, or fresh coleslaw (lots of fresh cilantro). But, I did the coleslaw last time, so I guess I'll do sauerkraut:) .... with beans, green salad & fruit salad|||I love avocado & chopped red onions. Hot Dog Party Puffs
12 Hot Dogs
2 cups of biscuit mix
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup cheese, grated
12 strips bacon

Add the milk to the biscuit mix. Using a fork, stir into a soft dough. Beat dough until it is stiff and sticky, about 18 strokes. Stir in the grated cheese. Pat the dough around the hot dogs to make a thin covering. Wrap a strip of bacon around each dough-encased hot dog, securing the ends with toothpicks. Roast over coals or fire. Serve in paper napkins.

Serves 6.

Hawaiian Dog
A premium all beef char-grilled Vienna Beef hot dog basted with sweet teriyaki glaze, grilled pineapple chunks, saut茅ed Vidalia onions, Swiss cheese and shredded lettuce. Served on a grilled ciabatta roll.

Ingredients:
1 7 inch skinless 录 pound Vienna Beef hot dog
1 Tablespoon Teriyaki sauce (your favorite store brand)
2 Slices Canned pineapple slices
录 Cup Saut茅ed Vidalia onions
2 Slices Swiss cheese
陆 Cup Shredded lettuce

1 Ciabatta roll Procedure:
Split the hot dog length ways down the middle. Char-grill the dog on both sides while you baste with the teriyaki sauce. Grill the pineapple. Split the roll in half and cover the bottom half with the lettuce. Place the grilled dog on the lettuce, cover with the Swiss cheese, onions and pineapple. Cover with the top of the roll, cut it in half and share it with a friend.

Chicago FireDog
An all beef "spicy" Vienna polish sausage, char-grilled to perfection, topped with grilled peppers and onions, a spicy chipotle mayo, and pepper jack cheese. Served on a toasted ciabatta roll.

Ingredients:
1 Vienna Beef Hot polish
录 Cup Sliced Green Peppers
录 Cup Sliced Red Bell Peppers
陆 Cup Sliced White Onion
1 Tablespoon Chipotle mayo (store brand)
3 slices Pepper Jack Cheese

1 Ciabatta roll Procedure:
Split the hot dog length ways down the middle. Char-grill the polish on both sides. Saut茅 the peppers and onions until soft. Toast the roll. Slice the roll in half and spread the Chipolte Mayo on the inside of the roll. Place the polish skin side down on the bottom half of the roll, top with the jack cheese and peppers and onions. Cover with the top half of the roll and enjoy!

I've been known to give the hot dog to the dog.. and eat the salad trimmings in a hot dog bun.
